Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful week. Mine was also a good one. With this, let’s start with this week’s reading material…

📚 To Read

SPAs: theory versus practice

At the risk of grossly oversimplifying things, I propose that the core of the debate can be summed up by these truisms:

  1. The best SPA is better than the best MPA.
  2. The average SPA is worse than the average MPA.

In and Out of Style

Matthias Ott’s write-up of In and Out of Style talk by Jeremy Keith. I’ll also recommend taking a look at the talk itself, as it was extremely good.

Analyzing pages in a particular state with Lighthouse

This looks incredibly useful for testing stuff on Lighthouse. Traditionally, lighthouse used to only test the initial state of the page, but with the latest release, you can look at the page in a certain state.

Ximena Vila Ferral: How to Protect Professional Boundaries

Some excellent and useful points to remember to avoid getting burned out from Ximena

What if WordPress Didn’t Exist?

A very interesting question, one that made me think a lot about the alternatives.

My Dumbest CSS Mistakes

This was a fun read. Happy to know I wasn’t the only idiot.

You, a Million Times

A question that new bloggers including me always have is who I should write for or who will read my stuff, and there is no better answer then write it for yourself. You will be surprised to know how many people including you yourself will find it useful later.

What’s the Point?

I didn’t write this post, but I was so aligned the whole way that I felt I could have written this myself. The entire thing is about using privacy-friendly alternatives and then getting back to the same things which you left behind for privacy because not everyone will understand your concerns. They are happy with just using the popular, less privacy-friendly alternative.

😃 Something that made me smile
